Enrique Badia Romero, the creator of AXA, passed away on February 15, 2024.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends in this sad time.
Romero will be missed, but AXA and all his art will live on forever.
AXA was first published in 1978 in the newspaper The Sun, in the UK. It was created by Enric Badia Romero. A total of 19 episodes, featuring over 2,000 comic strip panels, were created. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, several color episodes were also created, with further publications all over the world.
AXA is one of the best science-fiction comics featuring a female lead, and is a powerful post-apocalypse story for any reader.
